Teaching English is not a job for me, it is my passion. I like to motivate students to learn English more. I want students know that learning is continuous, no age limitations and that learning is fun.
Hi, my name is Leah. I am 26, a Bachelor of Science and Computer Science graduate at Jose Rizal Memorial State University and studied an additional two years in Information Technology. I completed an ITTT (International TEFL and TESOL Training) 120 - HOUR TEFL CERTIFICATE awarded passed grade “A”. It is an internationally recognized TEFL certificate course, with a practical emphasis on teaching skills, language awareness, phonology and classroom management. I am also currently working on my CTBE (Certificate on Teaching Business English) 50- hour certificate course.
Students have different needs and different learning styles, so they should be taught in different and flexible ways. That’s why whenever I meet new students, the first thing that I ask is, “Why do you want to learn and practice English?” I believe that by asking that question, I am better able to help them reach their goal. I don’t think ABILITY is the only key to learning. I believe ATTITUDE is more important. Being optimistic can help us enjoy the learning process.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in one of my classes.
