No prior knowledge of music required to start this course. There will ALWAYS be time for questions!
Music theory is a very difficult, yet important component in learning/playing ANY and EVERY type of music.
As you may or may not know, there is a lot to music theory, and the complexity can sometimes seem through the roof! However, with me as your music theory guide, you will be taken through the step-by-step process of music theory. since music theory cannot be taught in a half hour, I have divided it into 14 units. in each unit, I will cover everything sequentially, and with patience. I will often use a piano to demonstrate things like the sound of major and minor chords, intervals, note values, and dynamics.
By the end of all 14 units, students will understand everything from properly drawing a grand staff to augmented and dimished triads. Each lesson will have time for questions as well as a review of everything learned in the lesson.
Many other Music Theory teachers speed through Music theory too quickly, but with my patience, you will learn music theory at an easy-going pace to ensure that all elements are understood.
Each student will need PENCIL and paper(preferably a notebook of lined paper to be used only for this course.), a positive additude.
