Welcome to Flute Lessons by Ms. Jenna!

I specialize in flute, clarinet, saxophone, and piano lessons for all ages on the beginning, intermediate, and advanced student levels.

My students always tell me that I'm the "cool teacher!"  I can relate to what is current and hip in the music industry today and adapt it to my teaching!  If your not having fun, what's the point?

I can teach all genres and styles of music from classical to current hits!  My goal in teaching you is for your to look forward to your next lesson, not dread it!  I like to see progress and am great at getting results!

I can't wait to get started in teaching you about what I love and that's making music!  The first lesson's on me so what have you got to loose?

I obtained my first Bachelors Degree in Music/Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University, went on to receive my teaching certificate in Music Education and a Masters degree in Education/Administration and Supervision from Carnegie Mellon University.

During my post graduate studies, I had the esteemed opportunity to study with several flute legends to include Sir James Galway, Bernard Goldburg, Jeanne Baxtresser, and Julius Baker who helped to form me into the performer and instructor that I am today.

During my career in Pittsburgh, I developed a middle/high school flute choir which has toured all over the country. I have performed and conducted with my flute choir in such places as Carnegie Hall, the White House for three separate Presidents, The National Cathedral, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Heinz Hall, the Benedum Center, WQED Radio, and KDKA TV.

Formerly, I was a substitute flute player for The Pittsbugh Symphony and have performed under the direction of Marvin Hamlisch and guest conductor John Williams. I also taught for Pittsburgh High School for the Creative Arts and Rogers Fine Arts Middle School as an adjunct music educator and have 18 years of public school teaching experience.

Upon relocation to Bluffton, South Carolina in 2005, I assisted as Woodwind Instructor for the Hilton Head Youth Symphony and taught for the Beaufort County School District as Master Music Teacher to assist in improving the band programs. I am an active member of the Music Educator Association of South Carolina and Georgia, as well as the National Flute Association.
